Spartak Gogniev made a number of changes to his starting lineup compared to previous matches with Alan Bagaev starting in the center of defense for the first time this season. Soslan Kachmazov replaced the banned Dima Kobesov on the flank with Khetag Khosonov and Alan Tsaraev starting in central midfield.

Both teams started the match very positively, but by the 13th minute the hosts had already had three good chances to take the lead, but managed to convert only one of them. Lomakin sent the ball into the back of the net with a header, sending home a cross from our wide.

Alania responded quickly through Batraz Khadartsev when the Alania man took control of the ball at the corner of the penalty area, moved to the center and shot irresistibly into the top corner.

After that, the game was mostly an equal affair, but our players took the initiative in attack. Alan Khabalov twice had one-on-ones with the Enisey’s goalkeeper, but both times failed to convert the chance due to a challenge from the opposition.

In the second half Batraz Gurtsiev came on for Alan Bagaev and he  immediately had a chance to score, capitalising on a mistake by the hosts' defense, but missed the target by a fraction. However things changed with the sending off, according to referee Cheban, Bagaev fouled Sanaia and was given his second yellow card and left the pitch. It took Enisei almost 15 minutes to use their advantage and regain the lead, Argentinian substitute Juan Lescano scored, putting the ball into the bottom corner.

Butta Magomedov had a clear chance to level the score, but his free-kick struck the opponents’ woodwork and the ball bounced clear. The home side capitalised on this once again through Lescano, who scored once again towards the end of the game, this time burying a one-on-one.

Magomedov scored a consolation in injury time, Butta converting from the penalty spot. However, it was too late to make a difference to the overall result.
